About this event

  • 2 hours

Grab your helmet and pedal on over to the Grayslake Village Hall to go through multiple stations about bicycle safety! Geared towards kids 10 and under, our Bike Rodeo is meant to teach kids how to safely start, brake, be aware of their surroundings, do helmet and bike checks, and inform about general cycling etiquette.

We have to pace how many kids go through the stations at each time, so anticipate there may be a short line upon arrival. The Bike Rodeo is from 12-2 PM, however this event takes place in two different time slots. We will send you a confirmation email with your time slot included.

There will also be a demonstration by The Wheelmen, an organization that rides High Wheel bikes from the 1800s to teach kids a bit of fun bicycle history! Volunteers from the Bike Club of Lake County will be there to help kids through each station. This event is free and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to make it through all the stations.
